Winter Newsletter

Dear Parkshore Residents,

I believe winter has arrived and I feel very fortunate that we did not get the snow accumulation that other places did. It is that time of year to have our annual meeting. The meeting will be held at the Orange Township hall on Saturday February 6th at 10 am. There will be open trustee positions and, if you are interested, please email one of the current trustees with a letter of intention. Our dues will again remain at $125.00 and will be mailed out from the management company. The payment will be due by March 1 to avoid any late fee. Please mail all payments directly to:

Fall Newsletter

Dear Parkshore Residents ,
I think we can officially say goodbye to the short summer as fall is definitely here.

Parkshore will again have a hayride sponsored by Jeanne and Mike Chiappi on Saturday October 24 from 11am–2pm. Children and adults are welcome to dress in their costumes and the tractor will be around to pick you up. The tractor cannot travel on Lewis Center Road so if you live on Spinnaker please drive over to any street and we will pick you up and take you to the Chiappi home on Highgate Place for cider and cookies.

Orange Township has scheduled Trick or Treat for Thursday October 29th from 6-8pm. Please use extra caution when driving as the kids will be very excited and running from house to house.

Parkshore will again partner with Hidden Springs Irrigation to offer a group discount for winterization and aeration. Winterization and Aeration will be $55 for each service. The aeration price is calculated on an average size lot of 7500 square feet. If you have a corner lot you will need to get pricing individually.

Our group winterization shut off date is Saturday October 17.

Please follow this link to sign up. You will need to include your name, address, phone number and which services you are interested in. If you are doing aeration only you will need to pre-pay as they will return another day to aerate and you will not need to be home for that to be done. Invisible Dog fences must be marked as Hidden Springs Irrigation will not be responsible for any cut lines that are not marked. If you are available during the week and you would like to avoid waiting please call Hidden Springs at 1-800-578-1913 ext.#3 and tell them you are from Parkshore to get the discounted rate.

We have had several new families move in so please let your new neighbors know about our website and upcoming events.

Frances Catanese

Summer newsletter

Dear Parkshore Residents,
It is hard to believe we are almost half way through summer with the weather we have been having. I wanted to update everyone with some changes for the July 4th celebrations. The fireworks will not be held at the Alum Creek Lake and Dam area this year. The celebration will be held at Olentangy High School. This was decided by the Orange Township Trustees . There is a charge for this concert and fireworks display and tickets can be purchased online or through the township.

We recently had the stones washed and repainted at the entrances and replaced the lighting at the Lewis Center entrance. With the new efficient LED bulbs we will save approximately $800 in electric costs.

I would like to thank Jamie Stabl for planting the flowers at the Lewis Center entrance and Julie Guentag for planting flowers at the Spinnaker entrance. The flowers look great as you drive into either entrance. We thank them both for their time and effort to keep our neighborhood looking beautiful.
It is also that time of year to evaluate your mailbox. We have purchased stain and put together kits to make this process easy. You may contact any of the trustees to get stain.

The next Flamingo Friday will be held on Buckman Circle on July 10th
at 7pm we hope to see you there.

Regards,
Frances Catanese

Garage Sale

As a reminder trash pickup is on Thursday which means trash is not to be placed at the curb until Wednesday evening and trash cans are to be brought back in after pick up.

We will be sending an additional email with our Flamingo Friday dates as the warmer weather is hopefully here to stay.

Regards,
Parkshore Trustees

Payment Reminder

Dear Parkshore Residents please be advised we are approaching the payment due date of March 1 . Payments received after this date will incur the $25 late charge. If you have already paid we thank you for your payment.

Coyote Warning

Dear Parkshore Residents,
It has been brought to my attention that there were 3 coyotes on Waukeegan last night and another the previous evening. Those of us that have electric fences tend to just open our door to let our pets out. This could be very dangerous especially at night. Please keep a watchful eye on your pets at all times.

Regards ,

Frances

Winter Newletter

Dear Parkshore Residents,
I believe winter has arrived and is here to stay for a while.
With the New Year upon us it is that time of year to send out the annual dues statements. Real Property Management will be mailing the statements out by February 1 with the payment due by March 1. Please pay by the due date to avoid the $25 late charge. The dues will remain the same $125.00 per house. We do anticipate some maintenance projects that need to be done but feel we have enough in the escrow so that we do not need to raise the dues to have them completed.

The annual meeting will be held on February 7th @10 am at the Orange Township Hall. There will be 2 trustee seats available for election . Mike Pierce is interested in remaining on the board and is up for re election and Dale Conklin is retiring from his position as Vice President . Please let a board member know by February 1 if you are interested in running for a seat.

I would like to thank Dale Conklin for his many years of service as Vice President . Dale has ably served the residents of Parkshore for several terms. Dale spearheaded the negotiation of favorable landscaping contracts that saved Parkshore residents thousands of dollars during his tenure. We thank Dale for all his efforts on our behalf.

We would like to continue the tradition of the HOA annual Wine tasting party if you would be interested in hosting this event please call Frances @ 740-816-1464 . The HOA will provide everything needed. We usually hold this event in February or March .

The new directories were mailed out before the holidays if you have not received one please let a trustee know.

We hope to see you at the February meeting.

Regards,
Frances Catanese

October updates

Dear Parkshore Residents,

We seem to be experiencing some technical difficulties with the attachment for the irrigation/aeration sign ups. The group shut off is scheduled for next weekend Saturday October 18 and Sunday October 19. Please call Frances directly @ 740-816-1464 if you are not able to sign up on the web .

The Parkshore Halloween Hayride will be on Saturday October 25 from 11:30 – 1:30 . Mike Chiappi will be around the neighborhood to pick you up ( if you live on Spinnaker please drive over to the other entrance as the tractor can not drive on Lewis Center road to access Spinnaker) The hayride will stop at 6335 Highgate place where you can enjoy cookies , cider , coffee , and goodie bags for the kids that Jeanne has made for all to enjoy. We ask that parents please ride with your children . We hope to see everyone there. In case of rain we will re schedule for the same time on Sunday.

Remember beggars night is Thursday October 30th from 6-8.

Frances Catanese
